It’s been a busy week at the museum! We’ve had many visitors from Italy, Amsterdam, Nova Scotia, and even some of our locals from Hanna.

This week our Tea in the Ranch House featured the life of a Hand Hills doctor, Dr. Lawson. After the talk, guests were served coffee, juice, and some homemade treats. Following the tea, we had a very interesting lady stop by from Havre, Montana. This is her third time visiting the museum, as she likes it so much. Read more

This week has been jam-packed with treasure hunts, tea, and tours!

On August 1st, we filled the museum lobby with people for our Tea in the Ranch House.  Ruth Karg, our archivist, presented stories about the hardships and rewards experienced by first doctor in the Handhills area. Afterwards, everybody enjoyed some homemade cookies, coffee, and juice all served by the students. Read more

We’ve had a pretty busy week here at the museum filled with tours, tea, and a visit from the doctor!

On July 25th, we filled the porch with people for our Tea at the Ranch House. Mrs. Ruth Karg, our archivist, presented stories about the trials and tribulations of being a settler in the Hanna area. Afterwards, everyone had enjoyed some beverages and cookies  served by the student workers dressed in period costume. Read more

Summer is proving to be busy here at the museum with visitors stopping in from all over and some pretty fun scavenger hunts taking place. On July 19th, the Municipal Library’s summer reading program students took a day-trip over to see us and participated in a scavenger hunt that had them hunting for artifacts both obvious and not so obvious. Summer has officially begun at the Hanna Museum! In the first week alone we’ve had visitors from Quebec, Germany, and even San Francisco stopping by. Our three local student tour guides are happy to take visitors through the time portal and explore Hanna and areas’ history. Read more
